Statewide Partnership for Concurrent Enrollment

The program was designed to support concurrent enrollment teachers receive 18 graduate level credits in their area of instruction.

What is the Statewide Partnership?

Approximately​ ​76%​ ​of​ ​the​ ​state’s​ ​high​ ​school​ ​concurrent​ ​enrollment​ ​teachers​ ​do​ ​not​ ​currently meet​ ​the​ ​Higher​ ​Learning​ ​Commission's​ ​standard​ ​for​ ​instructors.​ ​In​ ​order​ ​to​ ​meet​ ​the​ ​needs​ ​of​ ​concurrent​ ​enrollment​ ​teachers,​ ​the​ ​state​ ​legislature​ ​has ​expanded​ ​and​ ​appropriated​ funding opportunities ​for​ ​teachers​ ​throughout​ ​all ​regions​ ​of the​ ​state.​ ​​Metro​ ​ECSU,​ ​serving​ ​as​ ​the​ ​fiscal​ ​host​ ​for​ ​these​ ​monies,​ ​represents​ ​the​ ​following service​ ​cooperative​ ​regions​ ​of​ ​the​ ​state:​ ​​ ​Southeast,​ ​Southcentral,​ ​Southwest​ ​West​ ​Central, Resource​ ​Training​ ​&​ ​Solutions,​ ​NJPA​ ​and​ ​Northeast.​ ​​

Approved teachers in participating districts are eligible for tuition scholarships in participating higher education institutes. Tuition will be paid in full once higher education institutes report successful completion of coursework. Teachers that drop courses after the deadline or who do not successfully complete courses will be responsible for tuition costs. In some cases, application or other fees may be charged by the higher education institute. Teachers will be responsible for paying these costs.

How can I participate in the Statewide Partnership for Concurrent Enrollment?

  1. Ensure your district has submitted the participation agreement.
  2. Ensure your district has approved you as a participant.
  3. Participating teachers must agree to the terms of service.
  4. Browse available ONLINE programs/courses based on content areas.
  5. Apply to University following their instructions and register for course.

Cooperative Purchasing Services

A wide variety of products are available with our program, the Cooperative Purchasing Connection. Vendor contracts are established through a formal bid process conducted by Minnesota Service Cooperatives (MSC).

Metro ECSU Membership

Active membership in Metro ECSU is open to each public school district which has chosen to join the cooperative by paying the appropriate membership fees. With membership districts can participate and vote in the governance of the co-op.
