What is the Statewide Partnership?

Approximately​ ​76%​ ​of​ ​the​ ​state’s​ ​high​ ​school​ ​concurrent​ ​enrollment​ ​instructors​ ​do​ ​not​ ​currently meet​ ​the​ ​Higher​ ​Learning​ ​Commission's​ ​standard​ ​for​ ​instructors.​ ​In​ ​order​ ​to​ ​meet​ ​the​ ​needs​ ​of​ ​concurrent​ ​enrollment​ ​instructors and the students they service,​ ​the​ ​state​ ​legislature​ ​has ​expanded​ ​and​ ​appropriated​ funding opportunities ​for​ ​instructors​ ​throughout​ ​all ​regions​ ​of the​ ​state.​ ​​Metro​ ​ECSU,​ ​serving​ ​as​ ​the​ ​fiscal​ ​host​ ​for​ ​these​ ​monies,​ ​represents​ ​the​ ​following service​ ​cooperative​ ​regions​ ​of​ ​the​ ​state:​ ​​ ​Southeast,​ ​South Central,​ ​Southwest​ ​West​ ​Central, Resource​ ​Training​ ​&​ ​Solutions,​ ​NJPA​ ​and​ ​Northeast.​ ​​

Approved instructors in participating districts are eligible for tuition scholarships of up to $300 per credit at participating higher education institutes. Tuition will be paid upon successful completion of coursework as reported by higher education institutes. instructors that drop courses after the deadline or who do not successfully complete courses  will be responsible for tuition costs. In some cases, application or other fees may be charged by the higher education institute. Instructors will be responsible for paying these costs along with costs for any materials required for the courses. Courses will be considered successfully completed if graduate credits are obtained.

Cooperative Purchasing Services

A wide variety of products are available with our program, the Cooperative Purchasing Connection. Vendor contracts are established through a formal bid process conducted by Minnesota Service Cooperatives (MSC).

Metro ECSU Membership

Active membership in Metro ECSU is open to each public school district which has chosen to join the cooperative by paying the appropriate membership fees. With membership districts can participate and vote in the governance of the co-op.
