Twin Cities Regional Spelling Bee!
Metro Area Regional Spelling Bee 2021
On March 25, 2021, 42 spellers from the metro area competed in the Metro ECSU Regional Spelling Bee, a qualifier for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The participating fourth through eighth grade students previously won their local bees before competing in our final Regional Bee, which was held this year using Scripps’ online spelling platform due to Covid-19 safety concerns.
LynnClara Tun, a seventh-grade student from South View Middle School in Edina, was named 2021 regional champion and will move on to represent our region in the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
While this year looked a little different, we are happy we were once again able to provide this fantastic opportunity to metro area students. Congratulations to all our 2021 spellers!
